The premise of the second design problem for the studio:
Arthur, Ford, Trillian and Zaphod hit the improbability drive button one more time
and
Rather than the Earth being blown up by the Vogons
it becomes the venue for the
Restaurant at the End of the Universe
Specifically at the western terminus of Route 66 at the corner of
Lincoln and Olympic Boulevards in Santa Monica California
Our job is to program and design the restaurant - for all the characters in the Universe
Including those who’ve road tripped up and down ‘The Mother Road.’
